A. General:
Submissions relating to the conference theme will be double-blind reviewed on a rolling basis to assure you a rapid decision to facilitate your funding and scheduling needs.
B. Important Dates:
- Deadline for Receipt of Submissions: March 31, 2009.
- Notification of Acceptance: April 7, 2009.
- Deadline for Registration & Submission of Full Papers for Inclusion in the Conference Proceedings: April 14, 2009.
C. Guidelines for Submission:
- Electronic submissions are strongly encouraged (Word or Pdf Format).
- Not more than one paper can be presented by one individual.
- Abstracts should be a maximum of one page, and the full paper should be a maximum of twelve double-spaced pages including references.
- Each page of the paper must have page numbers. Fonts must also be 12-point size.
- Submissions should include a separate title page which indicates the name(s) of the presenting author(s), university affiliation(s), e-mail address(es) and title of the paper.
- Submissions should clearly include a session reference (1A – 1B – 2A- 2B – 3A – 3B – 4A – 4B).
- Submissions should include five key words that describe the paper.
- The list of references should only include works that are cited in the text and that have been published or accepted for publication. Personal communications and unpublished works should only be mentioned in the text. Do not use footnotes or endnotes as a substitute for a reference list.
- Cite references in the text by name and year in parentheses.
- Papers submitted to HEIC 2009 must not have been published, submitted, or presented at other conferences.
- Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings.
